Abstract:
Partners for Democracy is a leadership training program sponsored by Pacific Resource Partnership that teaches current and emerging Hawai‘i civic leaders how to develop and execute successful political and public advocacy campaigns. The curriculum focuses on teaching campaign fundamentals and provides participants an opportunity to engage and learn from experts in the public and private sectors about some of the most pressing issues in Hawai‘i.
The program’s goal is to train, educate, and inspire graduates to improve the lives of Hawai‘i’s workers and families through public policy and advocacy.

Chris Delaunay helped with the planning, development and implementation of Pacific Resource Partnership’s Partners for Democracy program. Prior to working at PRP, Chris served as a senior aide for a Honolulu City Councilmember, worked at the State Legislature, and served as the Big Island Field Organizer for Congresswoman Mazie Hirono’s campaign for U.S. Congress. Chris has a law degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law and a Master of Arts from American University’s School of International Service.
